The picture was captioned “Future is beckoning”. Friedrich Neubauer did not choose this caption himself, but in the eye of the beholder the metal puppy with its tail wagging could represent an engineered future world. Distinctive red, blue and black shaded with light and dark grey reinforce this impression. Warm ocher enlivens the little scene.
