This small picture consisting of wooden elements painted colorfully is called “setting” by Friedrich Neubauer. Despite of the fact that it is relatively small it attracts attention. The different forms of the elements, some left in their natural state and some painted colorfully, give the small composition structure and life. The eye tries to find its way in this imaginary work. Three diagonal yellow bars, a white “?” against a blue sky opposed by a white geometrical figure asks questions.
