The tramway and the hand cart were the only means of transport in the city. Several different people were waiting at the stops of the tram. Friedrich Neubauer documents in this drawing one of these scenes. Exaggeration and caricature become apparent here. The child struggling against being held by the hand by a scrawny man, an old man with a walking stick, a distinguished lady with a hat and fox fur, a short old woman with a string bag and a hand cart with a full bag. The central figures are only recognizable in outlines, American soldier kisses young woman? A scrawny old man in lederhosen and half stockings and a stout woman with a buggy round off the scene.
