Building Site Hauptmarkt (Main Market Square)

The view of the illustrator goes from the south side of the Main Market Square (Hauptmarkt) north in the direction of St. Sebald´s Church and City-Hall, which has already been completed. The building crane dominates the picture. The cobblestones, typical for the Nuremberg Old City, seem to be lacking yet. On the south side there is a big new building being built whose foundations only just have been laid. The repair works on Frauenkirche (Our Lady´s Church) seem to be completed on the outside. A stenographic sketch, jotted down en-passant.
